Hey everyone. My name is Billy Ryan. I’m from Valparaiso, Indiana, and I go to Indiana University, where I’ll be graduating in December with a degree in history. I really enjoy sports, especially basketball and running. I’m a huge fan of the the Indiana Hoosiers and all the Chicago sports teams, except for the Cubs. And my Halloween costume this year is Peter Pan’s shadow.
I’ve been a Christian for about 3 years now. Christ really grabbed a hold of me the summer before my freshman year in college by placing a lot of people in my life to witness to me and show how a relationship with Christ had impacted their lives. When I got to college, God brought me to a Campus Crusade for Christ meeting where I saw people worshiping the Lord like never before. Something about this was so much different than I thought Christians were like. A couple weeks later, I gave my life to Christ.
I’ve been active in Cru for my whole college career. I’m currently leading a freshmen and sophomore study in the dorm I lived in as a freshman and sophomore. College is great and I will be sad to see it go, but the Lord has some big plans for me so I gots to keep movin.
I’m very much excited to go on this trip. I do apologize in advance to being the quiet kid for the first few days. I promise, once I start talking it will be hard to shut me up.
