Hey guys! My name is Melissa Friesen. I live in Winkler, Manitoba, Canada and am 18 years old. I’m not currently in school.. you know just trying to figure things out 🙂 I’m not the most outgoing person so I might be a bit quiet at first. I enjoy drawing, snowboarding, being barefoot, the beach, slurpies and just hanging out with friends.
I grew up in a christian home with my parents and younger brother and became a christian at a young age. But it was only a few years ago on a missions trip to Mexico that God gave me a glimpse of what it means to serve Him and how absolutely amazing and loving He is. Since then I’ve been on missions trips to Mexico again and to Panama. I’ve slowly come to realize that God has given me a heart for missions and am super excited to see what He has planned for my future.
I know this trip is going to be challenging and stretching in ways I can’t even imagine and there is no doubt in my mind this will be an amazing experience. I can’t wait to meet you guys and see what God has instore for us in Swaziland!
